This
is a great candle for a beginner because it's sooo easy to make! To
let you know just how easy it is, below are the photos of my first
attempt at this candle. With a little practice yours will look fantastic! As
with all our projects we recommend reading the instructions thoroughly
before starting the project.
Step
2: Now melt approx. 8 oz. of gel over a low direct heat.
(Many crafters use a Presto Kitchen Kettle). Melt approx. 2 oz. of
paraffin wax with the gel. Stir well to mix the gel and wax.
Step
3: Color the gel/wax mixture with your dark brown dye and
then add a touch of black. This will make a very dark brown color.
Then add approx. 2 teaspoons of chocolate fudge scent and mix well.
After you let the gel cool for a couple minutes it will start to thicken.
You want to wait until it just starts to thicken before pouring over
the top of your sundae.

VARIATIONS:
Double
Decker: You can make this candle a double decker with more ice cream showing
by: After you thread the first brownie, use the following whipped
topping recipe as ice cream. Pile the "ice cream" on top
of the bottom brownie. Then thread another brownie on top of the piled
ice cream and thread your ice cream scoop on top of that. Then finish
it off with step 3.
Whipped
Topping: Using a mixture of 1/4 cup paraffin to 1 cup gel,
melt all together. Then pour into a bowl or pan and as it starts to
thicken use a knife to stir and slightly whip. Don't beat it too much
and don't use a wire whip or beaters. Just keep stirring occasionally
until the mixture becomes the consistency of mashed potatoes. (Be
patient - it will get there :) Once it reaches the mashed potatoes
consistency, you can pile the wax on top and around the bottom as
whipped topping.
You can
place a cherry on top for a finished look. If you want a realistic
effect of a juicy cherry, just use your heat gun to melt the cherry
slightly and the red wax will run through your whipped topping.
