Supplies:
Step
1: Begin by threading your wick through the ice cream scoops.
Place both scoops in your banana split boat.

Step
2: Place
one banana half on each side of the ice cream scoops. Trim the sides
of the ice cream scoop if they are too big to allow room for the banana
on both sides.
Step
3: Now
melt 4 oz. of paraffin with 1 oz. gel over a low direct heat. (Many
crafters use a Presto Kitchen Kettle). Stir well to mix the gel and
wax. Add 1-1/2 teaspoons pina colada fragrance and color the mixture
a pale yellow. Then pour into a bowl or pan to begin cooling.
As the
mixture cools it will develop a thick skin on top. Let the skin reach
approx. 1/8 thick before starting to cut. Try not to stir or
whip this mixture, but rather chop at it. You want it to resemble
crushed pineapple. Pile your pineapple on your scoop of ice cream.

Step
4: Melt
5 oz. gel for your strawberry topping. You will want to color this mixture
red and scent it with 1-1/2 teaspoons of strawberry fragrance. Then
place the 3 strawberry halves on top of your ice cream and pour strawberry
gel over the top.

Banana
Split without whipped topping and cherry.
Varitations:
1. You can make this candle larger by adding a scoop in the center on top
of the 2 scoops. If you do this, you can use a different flavor ice
cream and topping if you prefer.
2. You
can place a cherry on top for a finished look. If you want a realistic
effect of a juicy cherry, just use your heat gun to melt the cherry
slightly and the red wax will run through your whipped topping.
3. Whipped
Topping: Using a mixture of 1/4 cup paraffin to 1 cup gel, melt
all together. Then pour into a bowl or pan and as it starts to thicken
use a knife to stir and slightly whip. Don't beat it too much and don't
use a wire whip or beaters. Just keep stirring occasionally until the
mixture becomes the consistency of mashed potatoes. (Be patient - it
will get there) Once it reaches the mashed potatoes consistency, you
can pile the wax on top and around the bottom as whipped topping.

This!
In both projects below the wicks go through the ice cream, whip cream,
and the cherry. In the second picture you will see that TLC used banana
slices instead of halves. Just use your imagination!
